Yes, the difference in NH/Drake perfomance is not proper. That's just a plain fact.
There are 3 things to be done: - boost NH's grid - swap 1 low for 1 med or just add another med (will require looking onto the whole class) - swap explosion velocity bonus to a sig radius one.
Now one can choose NH over Drake mostly for the ethical reasons - it's clearly an abuse to keep flying a free OP ship like Drake. Most of others still don't get it. And don't get me started on those who passive tank NHs to farm missions. Those can only be cleansed by fire ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. WHile buff's to the nighthawk would be nice, it still wouldn't solve the issue endemic to all field command ships: they have no unique role.
A BC does everything they can do for cheaper, all be it at slightly reduced perfromance.
IMO field commands need a new role, such as the aforementioned no-fittings-for-command-mod's on field commands (and maybe even fleet commands, it's not like they would suddenly become OP lol).
Ofc the astarte would need a utility highslot so it doesn't need to scarifice a gun for the "free" gang mod...
As someone who proposed some radical changes to field CS class I know exactly what you mean. I just think it's unlikely CCP will make any real changes other than shifting very few numbers.
Honestly, I sucked it up and moved on long time ago - I trained Sleipnir. At the end of the day I figured out I'm not really interested in flying this ship (lol) atm (it stands way too high above all other commandships), but that's another story :)
Take a look at my thread, though - I still think I had a good idea... ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |

Boost Tier 1 BC's, and also boost HAC's and Recon's slightly, which essentially has the same effect of nerfing Tier 2 BC's. By Boosting Tier 1 BC's, you auto boost the Field CS's. (Liang's obsevation and suggestion not mine, but Im stealing it)
Moot point - Prophecy now has more armour HP than Absolution. It happened back in the days when there was a massive HP boost and CS got a lesser increament than plain tech1 tubs. CS used to have more armour HPs since their initial introduction.
They can easily fix tier1 BC adding another slot while leaving CS as is I wouldn't be really surprised seeing that. ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |

These 'tier2 BCs are fine, don't take 'em away from us!!' whines are self-explanatory - people don't want to lose their ships which cost as much as a dead rat's tail being very potent at the same time. This selfishness is so evident and so pathetic that there's no real way to actually explain something.
There's no need in tier2 BCs having that many slots, save the reason to please masses. ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |
